Gardant leaders were in Washington DC this week. They met with senators and other congressional leaders to discuss the regulatory and workforce challenges that are happening in long-term care communities. As always, Gardant strives for providing dignified lifestyles that are enhanced by the values of love, compassion, and dignity.

Congratulations to Stephen Woods, Regional Director of Operations at Gardant, for graduating the DELP program. DELP (Diversity Executive Leadership Program) is a 2-year intensive program that was developed to provide executive leadership training, resources, mentoring and skill sets to Senior Living professionals who identify with a minority group such as race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation etc.
The goal of the DELP program is to help develop leaders within the senior living profession to grow professionally and expose the DELP Scholars to various opportunities that are available to them and open doors to increase diversity on AHCA/NCAL National and State Board of Directors as well as National committee opportunities. Stephen was a part of the first DELP cohort that was initiated in 2022 and consisted of 15 Senior Living professionals from across the country. During the 2-year program, he also completed the AHCA/NCAL Future Leaders program in 2022 and the AHCA/NCAL Political Ambassadors program in 2023. He is also currently a member of the AHCA/NCAL Customer Experience committee. Gardant`s Senior Regional of Human Resources, Karen Franklin has been selected to participate in the next DELP Scholar cohort that begins in September 2024!
