We welcome June and the great changes we know Spring brings; warmer weather and more sunshine! Great changes for our residents will be coming our way beginning June 1st. Turn to page 4 of our newsletter to see a bit about the beginning phase to move forward from our self-isolation. There you will also see a thank you to Clay City Banking Company for their donation to our resident activity fund, which will help us get “Up and Out” of our rooms! Page six has a recap of some May moments our resident family enjoyed last month. And you will enjoy the Fresh Strawberry Dessert in the Wellness section on page 4. As we continue to learn more about the COVID-19 outbreak and how quickly it can spread, we have taken a number of precautions to keep residents safe. We have been and continue to be highly proactive in taking steps to help ensure the health and welfare of all residents and limiting possible exposure to COVID-19 or other viruses.

As we learn more about COVID-19 and the impact it has on older adults, we are taking a proactive approach to keeping our community safe. New precautions include self-isolation for residents, canceling all activities and group dining and restrictions on visitors and any residents who leave our building. In addition to proper handwashing and avoiding spreading germs, one of the most important things we can all do is practice social distancing.
