Inside the Oasis Point of View! for the month of May 2020, you will enjoy seeing the Oasis at 30th Walkers/Riders Club. They continue on their daily walk/ride around the building as they practice social distancing 6-feet apart from one another and stop to take in some “fresh air” by doing quick exercise warm-up’s. The residents are surviving the quarantine by writing letters home to family members and enjoying plenty of adult coloring. Oasis at 30th staff and residents would like to give a special thanks to our receptionist Mrs. Shakira K. for going Above & Beyond. Thank You! As we continue to learn more about the COVID-19 outbreak and how quickly it can spread, we have taken a number of precautions to keep residents safe. We have been and continue to be highly proactive in taking steps to help ensure the health and welfare of all residents and limiting possible exposure to COVID-19 or other viruses.
Inside the Oasis Point of View! For the month of April you will see photos of how Oasis residents and family is adjusting to the changes from the Stay in Place policy and COVID-19. Residents are practicing social distancing and participating in the creative activities that is available to them. The activity room service form is most helpful to the mobile activity and country store cart to help delivery their request. Oasis also have a mobile ice cream cart going room to room to drop-off tasteful treats every Friday from 2:00 to 4:00pm as long as the stay in place policy is in place, Thomas have asked several residents this question and the answers are so amazing during this difficult times. Mrs. Sylvia W. was asked the question, “I can always count on the staff of Oasis? And her reply was “To do a fantastic job” with a smile and a number of Thank you for cards for each department to show her appreciation. As we learn more about COVID-19 and the impact it has on older adults, we are taking a proactive approach to keeping our community safe. New precautions include self-isolation for residents, canceling all activities and group dining and restrictions on visitors and any residents who leave our building. In addition to proper handwashing and avoiding spreading germs, one of the most important things we can all do is practice social distancing.
To ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of everyone at our community, we are taking additional measures, including limiting social visits, canceling large group gatherings and resident outings, and remaining vigilant about avoiding the spread of germs. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 outbreak and provide updates as new information becomes available.
