Next month, John Evans Supportive Living will be celebrating 12 years of helping seniors in the surrounding area.
We take great pride in knowing that our community has been a lifesaver for many seniors. Without John Evans, many families would have had to turn to a nursing home for a much higher-level of care than they needed.
John Evans offers affordable care with love, compassion and dignity. Our goal is to help seniors maintain their independence for as long as possible.
We are also proud to say that we don’t only help our seniors, but we also are here to help and support our community.
John Evans participates in many local events throughout the year to give back to a community that has also helped us grow and thrive.
In November, we will help Pekin Township deliver Thanksgiving meals to many local shut-ins. We enjoy helping with this event each year. It warms our hearts to see people who are so appreciative of the meal they receive.
In addition to this event, we also help with the delivery of Christmas dinners in December, host an annual Easter Egg Hunt for area children, donate back packs for grandparents raising grandchildren, collect food and mittens, and ring the bell for the Salvation Army, participate in charity walks, host an annual return to school Carnival for our community and families, walk in local parades, help our local TAPS shelter by sponsoring a pet each month, advocate for supportive living and so much more!
So, as November 26th, our offiical anniversary approaches, please don’t just think of us as a home for seniors. We are also a community of seniors that helps the Pekin community!
