Terika Wiener was recently named the new administrator at Heritage Woods in Watseka.

She provided a look into her background:

I grew up as a middle child and have an older brother and a younger sister. I have three nieces and one nephew that can really keep me on my toes. I have lived in Watseka for the last 8 years. Before that, I lived in Chicago and Lake in the Hills, IL and Fort Atkinson, WI.

I enjoy spending time with my spouse, family, friends and pets. I have one dog (Rupert) and three cats (Rigley, Ralphie and Rufus). I have been married since 2013 to Lane. I met Lane when we both worked at Walmart. She currently works at the ARC of Iroquois county in the Horticulture area. Recently, we bought our first house in Watseka. We enjoy doing home improvement projects together and are currently remodeling our living room.

I attended college at Western Illinois University, where I majored in Graphic Design and minored in Art. When I began working here 8 years ago, I never envisioned I would be an administrator at a supportive living community. Now, I could not dream of doing anything else.

When I started at Heritage Woods, I was hired for a part-time cook position. From there, I became a full-time night cook, then dietary service manager, then business office manager and now the administrator. The past 8 years, I have enjoyed getting to know our residents here at Heritage Woods and have worked with the best staff.
