We are excited to announce that Heritage Woods of Rockford received the 2019 Bronze National Quality Award!

The award, which was presented by the American Health Care Association (AHCA) and the National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL), recognizes long-term care providers that have demonstrated a commitment to improving the quality of care for seniors and individuals with disabilities.

“The recipients of the Bronze award are making it their mission to deliver quality care for our nation’s elders and individuals with disabilities,” said Mark Parkinson, President and CEO of AHCA/NCAL. “This year, we have more Bronze recipients than ever before, and I’m convinced that because of their commitment, our profession will continue to grow stronger and make a national impact.”

Only long-term and post-acute care providers committed to improving care for the residents they serve earned the Bronze Award.

John Evans Supportive Living in Pekin, another Gardant-managed community, also received the Bronze Award.

To qualify, communities began the quality improvement process of assessing their mission, vision and key factors that lead to success, along with demonstrating an ability to implement performance improvement plans. Trained examiners reviewed each application to make sure providers qualified to receive the national recognition.

“This awards definitely illustrates the commitment that our communities have in providing individualized, compassionate care to our residents and further demonstrates their focus on continuous quality improvement,” said Gardant CEO Rod Burkett. “We are extremely proud of our leadership team and dedicated team members that perform at this level on a daily basis on behalf of the residents and families that we serve.”
