Happy New Year 2022 from everyone at Heritage Woods of Ottawa! For this new year, the residents are planning on joining some fun, new activities. One would be a drumming exercise class. The benefits of exercise for older adults are obviously vast, but the world is constantly evolving and we think our activities should evolve too. The residents of Heritage Woods of Ottawa exercise as a group twice a week. They really enjoy getting together and doing the group exercises. This mostly consists of residents who are female, so if you know a male, please be sure to encourage him to go to group exercise too! This can also be a great way to make some new friends, no matter what your age is. And you might think that sitting and drumming isn’t a good workout, you would be wrong! Drumming is a great cardio workout that brings together drumsticks and an exercise ball, mixing in fun moves, keeping a rhythm to a workout that will benefit the entire body!
