We welcome June and the great changes we know Spring brings; warmer weather and more sunshine! Great changes for our residents will be coming our way beginning June 1st. Turn to page 4 of our newsletter to see a bit about the beginning phase to move forward from our self-isolation. There you will also see a thank you to Clay City Banking Company for their donation to our resident activity fund, which will help us get “Up and Out” of our rooms! As we continue to learn more about the COVID-19 outbreak and how quickly it can spread, we have taken a number of precautions to keep residents safe. We have been and continue to be highly proactive in taking steps to help ensure the health and welfare of all residents and limiting possible exposure to COVID-19 or other viruses.

As we learn more about COVID-19 and the impact it has on older adults, we are taking a proactive approach to keeping our community safe. New precautions include self-isolation for residents, canceling all activities and group dining and restrictions on visitors and any residents who leave our building. In addition to proper handwashing and avoiding spreading germs, one of the most important things we can all do is practice social distancing.
To ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of everyone at our community, we are taking additional measures, including limiting social visits, canceling large group gatherings and resident outings, and remaining vigilant about avoiding the spread of germs. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 outbreak and provide updates as new information becomes available.
Goodbye Winter! Hello Spring! Heritage Woods is so excited to be planning spring events. Remember to turn your clocks forward Saturday March 7 before you go to bed. March 19 is the first day of Spring! Still preparing Supportive Living Week April 20-24. Spelling Bee teams and Wii Bowling Leagues are practicing hard. Wii Bowl play starts this week.
