Each month, our residents find a way to give back to the community.

For their latest project, they decided to make scarves for the homeless. They used donated yarn to knit 10 scarves.

On February 6th, one of the coldest days of the year, we were able to deliver the scarves to Central Park in Decatur.

We tied the scarves to the banisters leading to the park with a note attached that said:

I’m not lost!

If you’re stuck out in the cold, take me to keep warm.

Before we had a chance to tie on all of the scarves, four were taken. By the next evening, all of them were gone, and hopefully, keeping someone in our community warm.
