It’s been a busy July here at Cedar Grove Assisted Living.

Once a month, Half Pint Miniature Horse Ministries comes to Cedar Grove to visit with residents. The miniature horse comes in the cutest tennis shoes, and walks up and down the halls greeting residents. Some residents will brush her. A few pet her. Others just watch her with a look of amazement in their eyes.

Some of our residents grew up on farms or had farms at some point in their life, so seeing the horse brings back memories and lots of stories. We really appreciate Laura Barrett for sharing these wonderful horses with our community.

Cedar Grove also participated in a Back to School Bash. We set up a booth and had mechanical pencils, rulers and two back packs full of school supplies that we gave away in a raffle.

It is so much fun giving back to the community. This is our second time participating in this back-to-school event and plan to continue giving back again next year.

We are excited to see what will be in store for Cedar Grove next month. Check out our activity calendar for a sneak peek and keep an eye out for details for our National Assisted Living Week Celebration, which will place during the second week in September. Stop by to join us anytime!
