Kim Oplet Johnson, the community education coordinator from Hospice of Southern Illinois, hosted a presentation at Cambridge House of O’Fallon on hydration and presentation last month.
Her presentation was one that we all need to listen to and be reminded of regularly, especially older adults and young children. Even though we hear this advice often, it is still important for us to make eating healthy and staying hydrated a priority.
We need nutrition to keep our bodies strong and hydration to keep us up and going.
Kim gave us some great suggestions to make staying hydrated easier, including infusing water with fruit. We even had some drinks for our guests to enjoy!
In addition, Kim shared fun food facts to keep in mind as we work toward making healthier choices.
