As we navigate through these unprecedented times, we continue to find the bright side during COVID-19 at Gardant-managed senior living, assisted living and memory care communities.
Heritage Woods of Sterling
Meet Gladys. Gladys has lived at Heritage Woods of Sterling for 11 years. She and her husband ran a local bowling alley. People in the community still ask about her and recall the memories of bowling there.
Gladys recently celebrated a milestone, a “COVID” birthday – she turned 99!
Her great niece drove more than two hours for a quick window visit and brought her fresh, homegrown flowers. Gladys was sure to get up early, put on her makeup and her favorite outfit, including a special occasion brooch.
Gladys remains positive with the changes that have been needed as a result of the coronavirus and knows she is going to have a big party next year when she turns 100! She will wear her favorite brooch and, of course, get her hair done! She is currently missing her hairdresser!
Gladys’s story is just one of many at Gardant-managed communities.
Heritage Woods of Huntley
The pandemic may have a negative stigma, but love was in the air at Heritage Woods of Huntley this summer!
Bob and Louise celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary and were surprised with lunch for two. They were even surrounded by lots of photos and memories.
