PROPOSED REGION: Northeast IL, Indiana and Misc States
Under the direct supervision of the COO, the Culinary Services Director assures that the facility culinary services department are knowledgeable and comply with all State, Federal and local regulations and company standards regarding food storage, preparation, nutrition, handling, and serving along with all safety and sanitation procedures. Assists in enhancing the quality and presentation of cuisine offered at the communities. Assists with training and support of food service staff at the communities. Position will require extensive travel and overnight stays.
Position will require extensive review of budget reports as established at each community to review compliance and variance. Assists with Capital Budget needs. Monitors the ordering assuring that therapeutic diets are served according to the menu. Must have a working knowledge and be able to perform the duties of a Culinary Manager and Cook. Consults with Registered Dietitian on a quarterly basis and as needed.
The Successful candidate will have five years’ experience in the culinary services management of multi-site responsibility preferably in health care field. Must be certified dietary manager with successful completion of the food sanitation course. Experience in the principles and practices of overseeing a food services program at multiple communities with solid budgeting, general accounting and fiscal management practices. Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record in accordance with community insurance company. EOE
