Four assisted living communities operated by Gardant Management Solutions were honored by LeadingAge Illinois for political advocacy.
Heritage Woods of McHenry, Heritage Woods of McLeansboro, Heritage Woods of Mt. Vernon and Heritage Woods of Rockford were recognized with political advocacy awards at the association’s Legislative Luncheon last month.
Throughout the year, Gardant communities are committed to reaching out to local, state and national lawmakers to discuss the benefits of the Illinois Supportive Living Program and issues that are important to residents served by the company.
Several communities have been recognized for their ongoing advocacy efforts. Senators and representatives on the state and national level have contacted Gardant communities to conduct town hall meetings and legislative forums, meet with staff and residents and tour buildings. The staff from Gardant’s corporate office has also been invited to speak at legislative forums hosted at other locations. As a result, lawmakers have become outspoken advocates for Gardant communities and the state’s supportive living program.
